History

Gem Ambulance was incorporated with the intention of creating a local medical transportation company dedicated to serving the ever-growing demands of healthcare facilities in Central New Jersey. The enthusiastic endorsement of healthcare facilities led Gem to rapidly expand its field of operations to Southern New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Currently, Gem services healthcare organizations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, providing our client facilities with the individualized attention of a small medical transportation provider, along with the resources of a large one. Our local management teams, call centers, and responsive customer service representatives enable us to provide reliable, timely, customer-friendly, and locally-focused medical transportation services.

Operations

The management team at Gem possesses a wealth of ambulance and general transportation experience, retaining an impeccable track record of superior medical transportation services since 1997.

Gem operates a modern fleet of state licensed ambulances, Mobility Assistance Vehicles, Special Bariatric Transports Units, and wheelchair accessible buses, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Gem’s dispatching department employs cutting edge communications technology, utilizing computer-aided dispatch systems and state-of-the-art global positioning systems to ensure rapid and efficient dispatch of vehicles and crews.

Transportation Management

Upon observing the complexity of transportation management, Gem Ambulance took the initiative of creating Gem Transportation Management in 2007. A subsidiary of Gem Ambulance, Gem Transportation Management enables healthcare facilities to seize control of spiraling costs, relieve staff members of claims-related paperwork, and significantly slash transportation budgets.

Gem Transportation Management’s highly qualified teams coordinate all aspects of facility transportation, from start to finish. Our Transportation Management module consists of our state-of-the-art call center; reliable transportation provider network; claims processing coordinators; and the management teams which supervise the entire process.
